Let's Explore Earthquakes Topic Pack

We've had great fun this last couple of weeks testing out the new Let's Explore Earthquakes Topic Pack.

Boykin is 12 and has learnt a little about earthquakes in the past from the news and from workshops we've attended. Consequently, some of the information in the pack was revision, but most of it was new, thus helping to both consolidate and build on his previous knowledge.

The suggested schedule breaks the learning adventure down into bite-size chunks and short lessons (a la Charlotte Mason). This means that concentration doesn't wane; your child is fully engaged and real learning takes place.

The 13 minibooks will help your child to record and order his project, whilst the 11 hands-on activities will cement the topic for them, creating happy memories of your family's learning journey.

Happy Exploring!

Plate Boundaries

I came across this fab rap for our Earthquake lapbook. We had such fun making up dance moves to go with it. I think The Boy will never forget the names of the different plate boundaries or how they move 😁

Celebrate 4th July

Why would I create a lapbook about the 4th July and American Independence Day?
Well, firstly, it was a custom order made to someone else's requirements. (Please contact me for more information on my bespoke service.)
Secondly, there is a UK connection to American Independence Day, as I'm sure most of you know :)

It was a fun project to work on and I learned a lot about the food and traditions whilst creating the lapbook, I'm sure you will too. I also realised that there aren't many UK-based, child-friendly resources online about the American War of Independence. Of course, there are some fab websites in the USA, many of which you will visit whilst studying with this Linked Lapbook :)

You can buy the lapbook and view sample pages on my website.

The activities are differentiated so that you can adapt the project to suit your children between the ages of 5 and 10. The age range can be extended by giving more, or less, support as necessary.
The calendar activity has been updated to make this project suitable for any year :)
Also available on Currclick, Educents and TeachersPayTeachers.
